The drain plug for the counter balancer is a 3/8" bolt under the engine with a philips "X" in it. There is also an engine crankcase drain plug there ...

I tore mine down due to 100-110psi compression. I measured my ring end gap today and I measured .029, and the .030 almost fit. Should I bore and get an oversized piston? You can check the coil though. Use an ohmmeter to check continuity between the coil ground as well as the ignition wire. Resistance should be around 3 Ohms. Howdy fellas. I have a 96 explorer 300 aircooled two stroke. The thermostat that brings on the fan broke. I put an override switch on fan to bring on fan manually, how ever I am having a hard time finding the switch. I am a HVAC tech I can install a adjustable thermostatic switch but not sure what temp to set it at.
