I have multiple Colts, two Ed Browns and two Dan Wessons, a 9mm Guardian and CCO. The next 1911 I buy will be a Wesson V-Bob if that tells you anything. Love my Browns but no way a bobtail Brown is worth $1000 more than a V-Bob. All of my recent Colts have been sent off for "improvements" as was a Les Baer.The DWX Compact and the Wilson SFX9 have been my top two candidates for Ultimate EDC. I think the DWXc just acceded to the top of the list. And it doesn't hurt that the price tag on that Wilson was a bit over $2800...! A full $1000 more than what the DWXc is going for. I expect the DWXc will at least be a ltitle heavier than the DWX trigger.

Not Dan Wesson. The Valor, like most of the DW line, is one of the cleanest looking pistols out there and is a true testament to exceptional quality materials, workmanship, and finish. You can spend a heck of a lot more on a custom 1911, but a gun like the Valor makes that additional money a lot harder to justify . . . This video is private.Both are fine pistols; it comes down to personal preference. Some people like the bobbed frame of the Dan Wesson, some not so much. Some like the 4 1/4" barrel of the V-bob, some prefer there 1911's to be 5" with a full grip like the Ultimate Carry.
