Ah, my mistake. There's a hurl cantrip that you need to activate. I was trying to, well, throw it. xD. There should be an added spell once you cast it on your hot bar. There's no such spell added to my spell bar, only "Produce Spell: Dismiss" is added to my hotbar, and that one will only extinguish the flame, not throw it.You can also see the damage range on the bottom of your character screen. Put on a versatile weapon in one hand, and then equip/unequip a shield in the other hand. You'll see the damage range go up/down. Frankly the UI needs to be a lot better to make the 2-handing both explicit and visual.
