I looked at both and figured I'd never wear out even a basic tooth bar so I went with the Piranha. I did google HardOx steel that EA uses and got all of the marketing stuff. Certainly looks like a nice piece of kit also. So I ordered the BXpanded toothbar and the BH cart at the same time; the tooth bar came on the 9th week and no sign of the cart.

As for a tooth bar - look at the Piranha tooth bar (search it here - several threads & discussions) We have lots of rocky red clay here and the Piranha definitely helps with digging. And from what work I've done with it, I really don't see any negative effects when smoothing / back dragging with it.

I have the piranha tooth bar on my B2650 and love it. I have dug into the sides of gravel pits, cut into hardened clay, cut through roots, and nicely scraped the top layer off grass of the lawn. I have removed the two bolts for the winter for the purpose of back blading for snow removal, and in the spring, put the bar back on with no problems.
