Sorento charging system problems. I've replaced the alternator twice. Incase my 1st one was bad, I tried another. My battery light is on, and my alternator isn't putting out any current and or charging the battery. However, sometimes, usually after 10+ hours of the vehicle sitting, I start it up and everything works fine, 14.5v on the battery.
It appears the other two wires that go to the back of the alternator come from the computer. This means the computer or charging system is computer controlled.
