At least test the syringe on agar first to check if it’s clean, even if your not going to use the agar transfer method. Usually it doesn’t have enough nutrients for the myc, so even if it does colonize you might get some wimpy fruits. White rice is the reason many claimed in the beginning that UBs don’t work.
